This webinar session covers the life and role of cardiothoracic surgical care practitioners during COVID-19. Dr Bhuvaneswari Krishnamoorthy is the chair, as well as president of the Association of CT Surgical Care Practitioners.


Joel Dunning, consultant thoracic surgeon of South Tees NHS Trust in Middlesbrough, UK, presents his experience working as an ITU nurse. Nisha Nair, lead SCP of St. Thomas Hospital in London, UK, presents her experience working in London during COVID-19, the hardest hit city in the UK. Richard Thompson, senior SCP of Hull Infirmary NHS Trust, shares his experience balancing family life while working as an Intensive Care Unit nurse. Jeni Palima, SCP of Wolverhampton NHS Trust, discusses her experience working in the Occupational Health Department. Terry O’Connor, lead SCP of St. George’s Hospital, shares her personal experience of working in COVID-19 wards.
