A twenty-five-year-old woman presented with complaints of right chest pain and shortness of breath. A computed tomography scan revealed the presence of a cyst in the lower lobe of the left lung, which was suspected to be a hydatic cyst. The patient underwent robotic-assisted cystotomy and capitonnage. She was discharged with full recovery 16 hours after the operation and the postoperative course was uneventful. The authors believe this is the first case of a pulmonary hydatid cyst resection using a robot-assisted platform.
