Intraoperative Assessment of Flow in CABG Surgery
mediaposted on 24.05.2018, 17:26 by Rune Haaverstad
Rune Haaverstad of Bergen University Hospital in Norway discusses transit-time flowmetry to confirm graft patency after coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG). He argues that flowmetry is a useful addition to the toolbox of intraoperative graft assessment, reviews the details of performing and interpeting transit-time flowmetry, and discusses what can be done if measurements show poor flow through the graft. This presentation was originally given during the SCTS Ionescu University program at the 2017 Annual Meeting of the Society for Cardiothoracic Surgery in Great Britain and Ireland.
