Also known as effort thrombosis of the axillosubclavian vein, Paget-Schroetter Syndrome is a form of thoracic outlet obstruction that accounts for approximately 1-2% of all venous thromboses. Management includes thrombolysis and surgical decompression. Best practice results are seen with catheter-directed thrombolysis followed by early surgical decompression and angioplasty, as demonstrated in this video.
