Despite minimally invasive direct coronary artery bypass becoming a common operation today, harvesting a skeletonized bilateral mammary artery through a minithoracotomy is much less common, mainly because approaching the right mammary artery from a left minithoracotmy is more challenging for surgeons. However, when the surgery is well planned in advance and the correct sequence of steps is followed, this procedure can be accomplished safely with good outcomes. This video is a step-by-step demonstration of how to harvest a skeletonized BIMA in MIDCAB. It placed third in the CTSNet 2024 Innovation Video Competition.
